Tooth Strippage

Section or sections of teeth which broke from the band backing.
Probable Cause :

1. Improper or lack of break-in procedure.
2. Worn, missing or improperly positioned chip brush.
3. Excessive feeding rate or feed pressure.
4. Movement or vibration of material being cut.
5. Improper tooth pitch for cross sectional size of material being cut.
6. Improper positioning of material being cut.
7. Insufficient sawing fluid due to inadequate supply, improper ratio and/or improper application.
8. Hard spots in material being cut.
9. Band speed too slow for grade of material being cut.
